TileMarshal

Coming soon to the App Store. Turns a GeoTIFF from drones, satellites or scanned maps into MBTiles map tiles for offline map apps, on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

The TileMarshal app icon: three stacked map tiles showing a contour map with a river, terrain shading and water depth.

TileMarshal for iPhone and iPad, and TileMarshal Mac, are coming soon to the App Store. Neither can be downloaded yet; the product page will link to the store once they are approved.

A GeoTIFF is a map picture that carries its own location, the kind that comes from a drone flight, a satellite or a scanned paper map. TileMarshal cuts it into an MBTiles file, the tiled format that phones, tablets and offline map apps load quickly with no internet connection.
