I build software for people who work outdoors with a radio and a tablet: satellite imagery analysis, TAK integrations, and small tools that keep running when the network doesn't.

Most of what's here started as a problem I hit in the field and could not buy my way out of. The Sentinel-1 vessel detector exists because commercial AIS goes quiet exactly where you need it. The Morse-over-light link exists because sometimes the only channel you have is a flashlight and line of sight.

Everything on this site runs locally. No cloud account, no signup, no hosted service that can disappear on you. Clone it, run it on your own machine, keep your own data.

What I work on

• Overhead imagery — Sentinel-1 SAR and Sentinel-2 optical, NDVI, change detection over time, all rendered against a georectified basemap you can check.
• TAK — a Cursor-on-Target server written from scratch, plus tooling that pushes real products into ATAK as mission packages.
• Constrained links — compressing photo and video down to a radio's byte budget, and moving files phone-to-phone with nothing but a screen and a camera.

How to use these tutorials

Each one is a build log, not a lecture. It states what the thing does, what broke while I built it, and how to run it yourself. The failures are the useful part, so I leave them in.
