Morse Listen
Morse Listen — Privacy Policy
No account, sign-in, ads, or analytics. The microphone is used only while you listen. Audio stays on the phone. We do not sell personal information.
Morse Listen (“the App”) is published by Marshall Tyler Frith. This policy explains what information the App uses.
Summary
- No account, sign-in, ads, or analytics SDK.
- The microphone is used only after you tap Start listening, and only until you stop or leave the App.
- Audio and decoded letters stay on your iPhone. The App does not send them anywhere.
- We do not sell personal information.
Information the App uses
Microphone. If you tap Start listening and grant Microphone permission, the App reads sound from the microphone to find a Morse tone and turn it into letters. That audio is processed in memory on the phone. It is not saved to a file and it is not uploaded. Listening stops when you tap Stop, and it stops when you leave the App. You can deny the microphone and still use the live demo and the two bundled recordings.
Letters on screen. Decoded text stays in the App until you clear it or the App quits. You can select it and copy it. The App does not keep an account, a history file, or a cloud copy.
On-device log. While a tone locks, the App can write a local diagnostic line with the tone frequency, a time, a score, and whether the lock was a melody. That line does not include the letters, and the App does not send logs to Marshall Frith or to anyone else.
What we do not collect
- No user accounts or profiles.
- No advertising identifiers and no tracking.
- No third-party analytics or crash SDKs.
- No location, contacts, photos, camera, or Bluetooth access.
- No network requests. The App does not contact a server. There is no Morse Listen backend.
- No sale or share of personal information.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
